I discovered this place by way of Bruegger's Bagels. I dropped off my car for an oil change. That was 9 years ago. For years, Tim serviced my car in just enough time for me to hop across the street for a bagel, cuppa coffee and a quick perusal of The Indy. Then bam! I'm done.
Pricing is reasonable and competitive with a lot of other spots like Jiffy Lube. What is different is the service. Tim is just a really nice guy. If your car needs something, he'll tell you. If you need a second opinion on an expensive repair (my brother got an astronomical quote for a repair in Durham), Tim will usually come in much, much cheaper. He can also help you get to the bottom of what is wrong with your car and let you know how long you're safe to wait.
Good solid repairs. He does not do alignments, but most everything else they can do and will do so very graciously.

Fast, like you can walk in drop your car off and they'll have it done the same day 9 times out of 10. Great service, great price, and they are honest. What more do you want?

Honest mechanics, led by Tim the owner. Best in the area. I have gone there 20 years and purchased 10 used cars from him, all great value and he comes in cheaper than any dealer. He specializes in Honda and Toyota but can do any car.

Pit stop was recommended to me by another auto mechanic. I was really impressed. They know their stuff & the price is right. I used them for an Alignment and was so pleased I decided to buy an upgraded exhaust system. Use them, you'll be glad you did.

I have been going to this place for all of my car repairs and maintenance and highly recommend it for anyone else. Their prices are always reasonable (much less than a dealership) and I have never had a problem with any of the work done. Very friendly staff, trustworthy.

I've been taking my car to them for a couple of years. They do a good job and are pretty up front with what I need, what it's going to cost and whether or not it's something I could wait on or not. I really trust them to not screw me over on the cost and to get the job done right. They do run a little behind (time wise) sometimes but I am forgiving because the service is worth the wait. (Try them on a week day, that seems to not be as busy). Great guys!

the mazda 3, which i own, has a hard-to-find oil filter. i used jiffy lube once and they told me they would not buy the filter i needed since they rarely do mazda's and for me to buy the filter and bring it to them (what?). when i took it to the dealer, they took 4 hours, & i do not have time for that. a friend reccommended Pit Stop and i called to see if they carried the correct filter. and they did! they had several in fact. i took my car in that very day and they not only did an excellent job, they also replaced the drain plug, at no charge, that jiffy lube stripped to hell. the men and women were very nice and unpretentious. they have never called me in during the oil change to give bad news or coax me to buy something (jiffy lube is nortorious for doing that). i have been using Pit Stop for nearly a year (i drive a lot & get oil changes every other month) and i am extremely satisfied with the high quality service they provide!
